Successes
The Illinois State Crime Commission/Police Athletic League of Illinois recognizes people in the State of Illinois who have made a difference. The ISCC acknowledges and recognizes the most eminent recipients of the communities with an annual honorary Awards Dinner. The ISCC closely follows the efforts of "special" individuals throughout the year; those who have committed themselves to outstanding and exemplary efforts in their areas of expertise to benefit the overall improvement of justice, legislation, youth mentoring, leadership and resolutions.
- 6/11/97 First annual "Salute to Those Who Make a Difference" honoring Illinois citizens
- Repeated in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.
- Officiated at the installation of the Ashburn Community Council, Chicago, IL.
- Presented awards for valor after hostage takeover at Oak Brook, IL.
- February 2008 PAL-IL's First Annual Bishop Sheil Awards Luncheon
