Hundreds of families in need came to the Bloom Township Center on Saturday, November 28th to receive brand new coats for their children. Thanks to the generosity of many, many Chicago area individuals and companies, these children will have a much warmer winter this year.
The Illinois State Crime Commission/ Police Athletic League of Illinois uses these opportunities to help foster positive relationship between youth and law enforcement, helping to build stronger communities.
One family teary-eyed family member commented, "It is a good thing. It feels like a birthday present at Christmastime." |
